Software & Design :: Innocast - Radio Broadcast Systems

Picture: Streaming ServerInnocast have a range of pre-developed software applications for use within the radio industry. If however we don't, our development team will be more than happy to take work with your requirements and build that bespoke system, quickly and cost efficiently.

Utilising the latest development technologies, all of our software is built from the ground up, meaning the true core of your application is never lost. Our applications are resource light, fast and can help to increase productivity by taking the repetetiveness out of your every day tasks.

First we introduce, snooper!

Snooper - The Description.

Snooper is a small device, and software program that detects when the mic fader is up and your presenter is talking. Ofcom require you to keep logs of all speech on your station for a maximum of 42 days. However trawling through 42 days of audio to find that bit where your presenter "slipped up" becomes a mammoth task! Plus, it makes it a lot harder to sift through to find that funny link that everyone is expecting to hear in the next show trailer or podcast!

Snooper - The Device.

Snooper comes in both "Invasive" and "Non-Invasive" forms. What's the difference? Well basically, if you're already set up and looking to get your logging done quickly, our non-invasive option may be best.

The non-invasive snooper kit doesn't break into any wiring, and uses existing network sockets to carry the triggers. Useful for if you dont want to open conduits, break circuits and run new cabling. Everything is housed in a small box which connects directly to your logging computer.

However, if you're just setting up your brand new station, the invasive snooper kit may be the best option. The invasive kit integrates with mixer relay switches and wiring, so makes for a more accurate system. Saying that however, both options are exceedingly accurate, and the non-invasive option may always just be the best bet.

Snooper - The Software.

Our snooper software has been built from scratch by our own development team, so there's no un-necessary bulk. That means lower memory, and CPU usage, which will keep the boss happy! The software includes a settings menu where you can choose your interface devices, sound cards and file save directories.

Snooper automatically checks the status of the connection to the Snooper device every second. So if there's a problem with the line, an alarm will immediately sound, letting you know attention is required.

Obviously, if there's a problem with the Snooper device (which is rare), you won't be logging right? Wrong! Instantly upon alarm activation, our control servers are alerted, and our system starts recording your web stream output. You never miss a second of logging. Once your system is back up and running, our remote logging stops, and we send you the logs either via e-mail, or on an audio CD.

InnoMerge - The all in one spot scheduling solution! (For Total Playlist Manager and ENCO DAD)

Picture: InnoMergeInnoMerge is your all in one Jingle & Promo playlisting solution. InnoMerge seamlessly inserts jingles, promo's, and timed events such as Spotsets, Weather, News, and chains into your playlists!

Simply take a playlist from any well known playlist scheduler (RCS Selector, Powergold etc) and pass it through InnoMerge before Total Playlist Manager. InnoMerge works with your pre-defined settings and inserts your jingles and promos right where you want them.

Events can be easily timed within the interface, or left out all together!

The back end is powered by MySQL, meaning scalability is vast, and you can even upload your databases to your own website and work on them from anywhere in the world!

InnoMerge even inserts spotsets! You simply define how many commercial breaks in your hour, what time you want them, and let InnoMerge do the rest. Our time based algorithms place your spotsets right where you need them before you ingest the log into Total Playlist Manager!

InnoPlayer - Custom downloadable software player!

Picture: InnoPlayerThe InnoPlayer is your custom designed, personalised downloadable player solution!

Make your station stand out from the crowd by offering this player as an additional listening method. Your player can contain as much or as little information as you want, ranging from "Who's on air" to News, Weather and Traffic.

Using a small suite of server side PHP scripts, the information you want to display can be easily integrated within the player, allowing your users to access the content they want, when they want it.

The player also provides enhanced listener statistics so you can build your an advance listener demographic. Enhanced statistics include operating system version, listening time, email participation, and "most viewed" which allows you to receive information about which parts of your website your listeners are interested in. The information is relayed back to your Innocast streaming media server to create a enhanced graphical representation of how you're doing.

The InnoPlayer also includes "Sync Settings" which means that each time the player is loaded by your users, it remembers what they viewed last, their volume level and other settings. Plus, if your listener has logged into the player, settings will be stored on our servers. So lets say they decided to download it in their office one day, all they'd need to do is enter their username and password to the player, and it would automatically download the settings they have at home! In other words, it "Syncs" their settings!

Founded by Dave Stewart back in 2001 Innocast started as "NSF Networks" - a company which owned and operated a network of internet radio stations. NSF networks boasted an impressive client list, and provided full websites and CMS systems to those stations. Custom software was also developed to allow stations to track enhanced listener statistics, along with email and SMS participation analysis. In 2005, after a successful run, NSF networks sold the stations back to their original owners and used these proceeds to increase research and development towards new radio broadcast innovations.
